  • The entire roster of players present for the game shall bat in rotation.
  • Runners may lead off and steal bases as in Official Baseball rules.
  • If a batter swings or bunts and a runner is past the half way mark between third and home the runner is out and the 3rd base coach is ejected from the current game and the next game.  This is considered a serious violation for safety reasons and umpires will not be allowed to extend warnings.
  • A maximum of six runs is allowed per inning.  There will be no run limit in the final inning.
  • No new innings start after 1 hour and 45 minutes from the official start time as reported to the official scorekeeper by the umpire.  Drop Dead 2:15 Hours
  • Pool players may be used, if the player is a fourth round or lower draft pick.  Players from the division below may also be used, regardless of the draft order.  Pool players may only be played in the outfield and must bat last in the rotation.  If a complete game, as described in the PONY book is tied, the game will be considered a tie and each team shall receive ½ point in the standings.
  • The 10 Run Rule , as described in the PONY book, shall be used only at the consent of the losing team.
  • In order for the game to be counted in the standings, score must be kept by the official scorekeeper in the book designated by the league.
  • Each team will be allowed one warning on a balk and then balks will be called by the umpire and runners will advance.
  • A player shall not remain on the bench more than one defensive half inning.
Local rules are exceptions to the official PONY rules and apply to all home games.
